Santa Cruz Co Fair 2015

I'M VERY EXCITED ABOUT THIS PROJECT! THE IDEA OF LOOKING FOR THE STORY HAS BEEN WITH US SINCE STAR GAZERS LOOKING UP TO SEE NOT ONLY THOSE BEAUTIFUL PATTERNS, BUT IMAGINED CHARACTERS AND THEIR RELATION WITH ONE ANOTHER.

Home in Santa Cruz, CA

We've settled in Santa Cruz Ca. since October 2013.Still in the RV, at a beautiful park on Branciforte Creek.

We are near the creek, but up a ways on the side of the mountain. This path goes for a good long ways to the top, where you can see Monterey Bay.

Alley Springs Mill

Alley Springs Mill

A beautiful natural spring near Eminence, Missouri is the power source for this mill.   Most of the machinery is still inside too.

Dillard Mill

The land here is full of beauty. Rocks, Trees, and crystal clear streams

Observing these water power mills of about 100 years ago, I'm starting to understand how different builders found a variety of ways to harness this area's springs and rivers to power their machinery.

Dillard Mill is the most operational mill I've seen. There are shakers, sifters, cutters, augers, conveyers, and blowers, all run by large leather belts powered from a water wheel or turbine.

The Art Adventure

Naomi and I are traveling in an RV, through Arkansas and Missouri, stopping at Grist Mill sites.

Getting used to RV living was easier than I anticipated. We're happily traveling in our 24' home seeing places we've heard about, drawing, and painting too.
